Stocking a 90 gal

I have a 90 gallon stocked with a pair of Oscars AND a Jack Dempsey. Some will tell you this is overstocked, but with good filtration and maintenance habits, this is totally acceptable. The tank is big enough not to cramp the full-grown Oscars, and if well decorated, it should offer enough hiding spots for all the fish that need them.

Good luck!

do a pair of either or one of each and some dithers and/or targets, you should have plenty of room if you clean the tank regulary and take care of it.

oscar , dempsey and sev in my 90 gallon...1 giant Danio and 2 Gouramis...4 inches each(Danio and Gouramis) as the dithers...water changes and regular filter maintenabce a must..big fish messy eaters

As I said, I'm new to this part of the fish keeping hobby. I don't want to open a can of worms here, but what is a better fish for the first time cichlid keeper, the JD or the Oscar. I know there isn't a definite answer, but just looking for some people's experiences. I would even consider another large fish to put in the 90 gallon tank if there are other recommendations.
