I have deep crimson algae growing on my live rock. Not coraline, these seem to be sprouting and forming a little forest? Do I want this in my mini reef tank?

Crimson colored algae good or bad?

Hard to say. It sounds like red macroalga. Three things seem to happen with hitchhiking macroalgae: 1) they add a little color and cause no trouble; 2) they are ultimately devoured by herbivores; 3) they become a pest and overrun the tank. With the reds, it seems rare for them to overrun, so I'd suggest just sitting back and watching.
