Try sstabbing the food with a feeder stick (you can get one at your lfs) & move it aropungd the tank by the fish & see if he grabs it. Worms move & are a good source of protein.

You forgot one of my, and my puffers favorites.
Small crawfish.
Yummy

I buy dead crawfish at the grocery. I just don't have the heart to feed my puffers live crabs. I feel too sorry for them. :(

the only crawfish at my local store are already covered in cajun seasoning which i dont think he'd enjoy. mine has also eaten small frogs. ever seen $2.99 dissappear in one bite? its one of those forehead slapping moments when you realise you put something in the wrong tank.
