Hey all..i just added 30lbs of live rock to my tank on wednesday and i noticed the past couple of days while the water is super clear it's got a yellowish tint to it. I'm just completing my first week of cycling and only have the live rock and a live sand substrate. Only filtration i'm running is an AquaC remora and 1 powerhead. My amonia and Nitrites are off the scale, is this the reason? Should I be concerned?

Was it cured live rock or uncured live rock? Sounds like your aquarium is still cycling, and for the water to turn yellow it needs ALOT of ammonia for that to happen.

Uncured live rock...so then I'm just looking at a lot of Amonia then in the water. From the sound of it things are doing ok then? Should I run a filter with Carbon in it to clean some of it up?

I doubt you could have enough ammonia to cause a color change, and ammonia is clear, either way. What else is in the tank? Any wood? Have you checked the water in a separate container? Could just be the lighting, rather than the water.

Nope no wood. Right now the only things in the tank are about 40lbs of live rock. 10Lbs of Indonisian Rock that was precured, and 30lbs of lalo rock that was uncurred. It's all bascially a beige color. My amonia and Nitrite levels are very high hower. Water does how sorta a fowl smell, I think from the uncurred rock. Would it hurt to run a carbon filter now or just keep letting the thank cycle naturally?

The carbon won't hurt anything now--if it's pulling lots of stuff out you'll need to change it often to keep it working. The odor likely is related to the cycling process, and this color may be as well, it just isn't from ammonia. Other compounds from decaying matter may indeed be discoloring the water.
