So my home 24-gallon and my work 10-gallon tanks are working well and dandy with their Tetra Whisper 40 and Marineland-dinky-tiny filter, respectively, but I'm wondering if it's worth the extra cost to replace them both with appropriately sized Bio-Wheel filters. I've read nothing but good things about them, but that's an additional $50-70 to plunk down, not to mention that I'll have a couple of extra filters lying around. for that matter, Is it worth the hassle to re-develop the bacterial colonies that have established themselves in the filters? If it's recommended to replace the filters, can y'all provide some tips as to how to make the transition as painless as possible? Thanks!

If it ain't broke don't fix it, just be prepared for it to break. If you aren't having any issue with your current filters, save your money for now IMO. the bio-wheels are great, but that doesn't make them the only good filter out there. If you are like me and really just want to own one, go for it.
