I guess this thread is more for myself than anything but ...
I am so frustrated right now with my Huma Huma! I got the fish back in May/June, I always wanted one and I was under the impression they were the friendliest. When I bought it I already had a Coral Beauty and a clown that I had had for several months. I wanted to liven the tank a bit I guess. Well, Trigger added and everyone was happy. I lost a few snails and all my hermits but I didn't mind. The Clown took to hosting in my Colt coral which I found so cute and the CB had no problems with the other residents. @ weeks ago I decided that everyone was happy and that since I was sure the Nemo we had in the tank was female that I'd try adding another small Nemo in hopes that they'd pair. They LOVED eachother from the start, bonded right away. They would swim together, sleep together in the colt, the female protected the smaller male, it was wonderful. Then, about 4-5 days after introducing the smaller Nemo it disappeared! What the Heck!!! I suspect the Trigger but can't be sure. Now, a week after loosing the 1st sm. Nemo, I get up, turn on the lights, everyone comes out to see if they're getting fed (Nemo included), everyone looks happy and healthy as usual. Take my 4 yr old to school, go grocery shopping, come home & put away groceries, go to feed fish ... FIND NEMO DEAD!!! I come home to poor Nemo laying on the bottom of the tank. I'm so upset. I fish Nemo out to have a look, since nothing seemed wrong earlier, and find the poor fishes fins had been nipped CLEAN OFF!!! Well, no mistaking WHO did it! I'm now contimplating taking the Trigger back to the LFS since it obviosly has some sort of attitude. It got along PERFECTLY with that clown for several months, why all of a sudden did it attack? My 4 yr old was so sad. He cried for almost 1/2 hour about Nemo being dead. I told him we'd probably be taking the Trigger back and get a new Nemo.
So, I'm not too happy to say the least. Does this sound like typical Huma Huma behavior? or do I have a rouge?
