I came home from work to discover that the convict fry are now free swimming. Should I start feeding them now? Are the other tank mates going to be a problem at this point? The tank mates are a female jelly bean cichlid and a small male convict.
I would start feeding them now, finely crushed flake or pellets will do the trick. The other tank mates you listed may or may not be a problem, chances are with the temperments of those other two they won't be much of a problem. The pair that has the little ones probably won't be tolerant of the other two fish near the fry at all. A few my get picked off here and there but probably the vast majority of them will be fine.
