Saw an editorial on Mozilla's new browser, FireFox on BBC web news. It sounded good so I downloaded it for myself and tried it. It's great! It is a small program (only about 4.5Mb). It seems to launch faster and open web pages faster than that other bloatware browser. Very customizable too.

Here are the links:

The only thing that sucks is that most websites are coded/written for IE. But Ive been using mozilla for awhile now, and I cant stand going back to us IE.

I'm going to check it out.. Thanks!

I was very happy the install of MSP 2 went well.
Now I hope Norton Internet Security 2005 does what it's supposed to ...

Hmm, the Firefox hat looks nice! :D

----------------

It's installed and seems to work fine..

Except --- there's a security warning everytime I post (???)

version 1.0 just came out today, perhaps you need an upgrade?

it is a great change from IE, however I still prefer Netscape even if it is built on the exact same code, netscape is more user friendly and customizable.

I guess I don't have Firefox configured right..

Why is a security message popping up when logging on here, and when I post?

Is that just a basic warning about not being "encrypted"?
Plus, I have to click the warning screen twice to continue.

There are extensions out for FireFox that will trick FireFox into displaying content coded for IE. While FireFox is open goto Tools --> Extensions --> Get more extensions.

I have had Fire fox 1.0 for a while now - it is new, but not that new. Anyway I like it better than IE. Reports coming out confirm the notion that people are getting away from the standard IE... which hardly ever gets updates. Basically, it is old technology to most.
