Well, I just got back from my LFS and somehow spent more than I was expecting :D . Anyway I bought some Kent Marine Liquid Reactor in hopes of sprousing up my live rock some. The guy at the store said it was pretty good in helping coraline algea grow. I knew I couldn't get a lot of the chemicals, and thought this would at least help some (I did nothing before). Anyway my question is, do I have to take the carbon out of my filter cartridge in order for it to work - I thought I remember someone saying that one time. And if I do take out the carbon, will it affect my tank in any way. Thanks

But I also did buy a coral life 65 watt light - it had a dual bulb with white and actinic, this should help my tank as well correct (I couldn't afford one of the real nice ones!)

i have never use that product...

I mean for coraline to grow you just need a nice steady Cal leve and ALK.. I do add kents Turbo Strontium.. but i do not remove the Carbon.. really all the Carbon does is remove stray colors in the water and ouders.
