a new yellow tang i just got is covered in marine ick. my plan is to quarentine him and treat him with GreenX. Although do high tempatures work with marine fish like they do with freshwater in the quick treatment of ick? Also is there an Aquaria Sol that can be added to the main tank to keep others from getting ick?
thanks

If he was ever in the display tank then all the fish have to be moved out and treated- was he in there? I'm not clear.
I prefer hyposalinity- it is much easier on the fish than medications.

GreenX is the worst medication ever and is totally likely to kill your fish. Try hyposalinity or copper. Hypo is better, down to SG 1.010 in a QT tank.
As your tank is now infected you need to get all the fish out for 6 weeks.
People will tell you about this, that and the other reef safe cures, but they have never worked consistently, and frankly are pure gambling
