Crpyts Melting

Yes, they'll come back. Don't worry.

They probably won't even melt all the way. I have experienced several partial melts from replanting them in the same tank. I usually lose a couple leaves, but they grow back in a hurry.

Even after a full melt, don't remove them. It may take a couple months, but they'll regrow.

Take out the dead plant matter if you want. I do to prevent an increase in nutrients. Leaving lots of dead plants can wreck havoc on the chemistry if there is enough in there.

I've had them partially melt, totally melt from temp. changes, slight pH changes, lighting changes, moving them within the tank, and for absolutely no reason at all.
It's one of the 'fun' things about growing Crypts. They're such a freaking delightful plant to grow. Actually they are my favorites of all and I've had mostly good luck with about 10 different varieties.
Never saw a Cryptocoryne that I didn't like........except C. Balansae......it's like watching paint dry waiting for them to grow.
BTW, never had one melt that didn't come back for me. Be patient.
