I change about 1/4 water frequently in my 75 gallon tank.

But how much should I change in my 150.

It has about 130 gallons it right now.

Thanks

you should probably change about 13-65 gallons when doing a water change.

whatever is easier on you and the fish. 40 sounds efficient enough

The answer to your question is entirely dependant on how often you do water changes, what is in the tank, and what your bio load is. The way to measure how to do a tank is to try and keep the nitrates below 40ppm, and below 25ppm is even better. Adjust water change amount and frequency according to this.

Thanks for the info.

The current bioload is about 12 fathead minnows.

It had two gar and a sunfish but I moved them back to my 75 gallon which is warmer for them.

My 150 is a stock tank.
