We got three Harlequin Rasboras today from our LFS and every one of them has nipped fins and they were like that when we got them from the store. One even has hardly anything left. Our tiger barbs have left them alone and the Rasboras seem happy in our tank, but I worry about their fins.
If their fins won't grow back, then I'll probably take them back and exchange them for healthier stock, but I would like to give them a nice home and let their wounds heal. I know tiger barbs are fin nippers, but these are small, fast tetras and I've never seen tiger barbs go after these fish in aquariums my family's had.
