Well i installed a new powerfilter in my tank and i say no more then a hour my puffer got sucked in. So i turn it off and took the piece out and i thought he was dead but its been about three days and he hasnt ate yet is there anthing i can do so he will eat i gace him snail, brine shrimp, and blood worms. he is alittle hurt he cant see out of one of his eyes and some of his fin got cut off.

"Burp" him by holding his tail and wiggling slightly until he deflates...he will DIE if he doesn't deflate!

And put Melafix on him PRONTO

Treat the tank with Melafix. Is there salt in there? Why in the world wouldn't the filter have come with a intake screen? I thought they all did.

yes theres is salt in the water and i dont know why but it didnt come with a plastic screen so i had to make one. also do i burp him when hes in the water or wiggle him outside the water? also do you think he will eat after i do that?

Hold him vertically, head up, under water. You don't want him to suck in any more air.

What kind of filter is it? Did you buy it new? What's the SG of the tank? Is it cycled?

Powerful or not, all intake tubes shouled have some kind of non-restrictive cover.
