I have an established 29 gallon community tank. I also have set up a 10 gallon tank but wanted to put something different in it. I wanted to try something a little more agressive than my current community setup. I have asked several fish places but haven't really come up with anything useful. Any advice on something interesting I could put in this tank would be appreciated.

i don't really know of any aggressive fish that are small enough for a ten gallon, unless you have a single betta.
as for intresting i would either go for shell dwellers or a piar of dwarf cichlids

Thanks Shekoi,
I'll investigate the cichlids suggestion. I had considered those but didn't think there were any that would enjoy a 10 gallon.
I also will consider something like you have in your 10 gal, the gourami's. My daughter doesn't like them as much as I do so I was holding off on those.
Thanks again :)

I considered those and visited them at the critter store but I read somewhere online that they need alot of space. We really liked those. Would a pair do ok in a 10 gallon??

I think dwarf... D W A R F, are fine in ten gallon. There are many types. Dwarves however are less than 2 inches and fine in 10g. You should research them first, as I'm not all too familiar with them. You can ask chunksofpooo on here, as he keeps them. :) Look under the puffer thread.

I have Dwarf Gouramis and I think they would do fine in a 10 Gallon. I would suggest getting a pair. I have 4 of em in my 20 gal and they do just fine. One is Neon Blue and one is the normal coloration. The two others are females. If you want a fish that is slightly more aggressive then you should consider a paradise fish. You would want to get only one male as two males will fight. They also tend to be aggressive towards the females so if you get a female you would need places for it to hide in your tank.
