My clowns have ick and I put in prevent-ich in the water last night. When I checked everything this morning my anenome was the size of a quarter and shriveled (it was huge...like the size of a baseball). I immediately checked the water levels and found my water was very warm. Like in the 80's. I turned down the heater (we have no idea why it made the water so warm) and I came home hours later and the anenome was big again. My levels are fine nothing to worry about. My clowns are dead, probably from the ick. Now, my question is....what made my aneneome do that and is it going to be okay. I seems to have quit moving around my tank and it isn't as big as it was but it is much better.

nope

No, it is safe for shrimp and my snails. I checked before I added it. I have been checking it periodically over the last few days and it gets better than shrinks up again. I really hope it doesn't get sick or die.

List the ingredients in the prevent ich medicine. Almost no medicine is safe to add with marine inverts. A lot of times the companies will disguise lethal ingredients into safer sounding ones. Meth blue is also extremely deadly which is another really common treatment for ich. How big of a tank is it? It would probably be best to do a huge water change and add carbon to dilute the medicine. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck!
