What and how can I feed a yellow banded hermit that I just caught trying to pry a snaill of my live rock?

Can I get a peice of raw shrimp or mussel from the grocer and put a tiny bit in to satiate his killing spree.

Also, I noticed someone online was selling soft coral frag. What is this frag thing all about?

Some hermits aren't very trustworthy around snails. Some sinking food, and extra shells help, but I try to restrict myself to scarlets (never had any problems) and blue legs (mine only seem to kill ceriths).


A frag is a piece broken or cut from a coral. Glue it down, and it will establish itself as a new colony.
