What kind of plant is this? I am also wondering if I can cut off the shoots that is is sending off to the top of the tank? There are like 4 of 5 of them now and it is getting a little wild for my tatste.

In your ten-gallon picture, decder, how did you get all those plants on the gravel? Do you buy all of them and plant them so they form that carpet, or do they spread? What plant is that, btw?

And that loach is gigantic! :)
