do chinese algae eaters have scales?

I have two and I am preparing to treat my tank for parasites and fungus, and need to know if they will be okay with the medicine, or if I should move them to a separate tank like I already have done with my dojo loach. Thanks!!!

Yes, they have scales.

It's a sensible question, though, because Gyrinocheilus has eliminated the scales from its belly. Check it as it hangs on the glass.
