Welllllll my big present was getting my eyes fixed, I now have 20/15 vision in both eyes thanks to the laser :D it is really unbelievably wonderful
I also got a pair of saphire earings, also a pair of gold hoop earings, my hubby had my uncle build a custom cabinet for my slot machine :D and a bar stool, it looks wonderful and is just the right height to get comfy with a mudslide made with real ice cream, yummy. Lots of books and CD's and some other odds and ends.
The kids had a wonderful xmas also, my mom and dad bought the paintball guns and helmet's for the oldest two so they are in hog heaven and we bought the oldest a new computer, so he is happy as :D . I bought a book called Backyard Ballistics for my 14 year old so he is looking forward to building a potatoe cannon and such (heaven help the neighborhood :thud: )
My 12 year old got a bunch of different builing and scientific discovery stuff so he is currently playing mad scientist in the basement (heaven help my house :p )
The 5 year old got all the rescue hero stuff he could possibly want and is racing various vehicles around the floor (heaven help unsuspecting toes ;) )
My youngest the 3 year old got her play kitchen and is cooking up various plastic treats for everybody to try.

How about the rest of you....................

Being I'm in SE Louisiana and we got some snow for Christmas, that was a nice present. Granted we didn't get much, but it was nice to see for a change. As for presents, when my daughter called and informed me that I was going to be a PawPaw again that was the best.

One of the best presents I had was a new 2 foot tank. It means I have a new quarantine tank so can use my 3 foot for breeding project.
Also had snow on Christmas day (very unusual in cornwall).

Lots and lots of stuff- too much to name. My favorite gifts were my Josh Groban t-shirt (that actually hasn't come yet), and my 'bling bling ring' (It looks like I got engaged! Good ol' cubic zirconia- I LOVE it! :D). I enjoy sticking my ring in people's faces and asking them if they can hear it bling. :p lol Kidding...

And I got a freshwater master test kit! Boy is that exciting! I tried it out last night (though I'm questioning the results, as both tanks came up somewhere between 0 and .25 ammonia, and that doesn't seem logical...), and discovered it's ALMOST as fun as gravel vacc'ing! Hurray! Told my sis I fairly had my own bomb kit in our room now what with all those chemicals that kill you if you inhale them... lol! Great fun! Makes me want another tank so I can use it more often. :D I've already got the ammonia test instructions memorized. :D

I spoiled myself and bought a 180g tank.... Other than that, it was nice to see the whole family at once (my bro and sisters live out of town, sorta)

My darling hubby went to the local jewelry store & came home with "mojo boxes" for myself & his daughter who was with us for christmas! I have to say-he can buy me jewels any time he wants-he got me an eternity pendant (one of those ones with 3 diamonds-past, present, future) & got a small single diamond pendant for his daughter. Said he thought he'd should be the first one to give her a diamond! She just loved it! :dance

My two biggest gifts were the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy (12 DVDs, just over 11 hours of movie not counting extra features) and a Delphi SkyFi2 XM radio which I just installed yesterday. That and 10 straight days without work made for a great Christmas/New Years. And now...Monday :(

My husband bought me my new 65g tank and stand for an early Christmas present, and today I bought a new PC light fixture online which is my combined Christmas and early birthday present (it will arrive right around my birthday). Lucky me! He didn't do so badly himself, I got him a DVD player with surround sound stereo system - he's been watching movies at full blast for days!
We also got to visit with everyone in both our families, which was a really nice gift.

Cool GEL! I can't wait to get that done!

I got a couple movies, baking sheets, new bowling shoes *!!!*, a floor lamp, that my youngest already broke and a new computer mouse, the optic one ... so much better than a roller.

;)

Lila, please don't put the bowling shoes on your avitar!!!! it would ruin those pretty feet. After having an optic mouse, ive found cleaning the rollers every month was worth it. if you get any kind of dirt or dust in the lens it will develop a mind of its own. But if you keep your desk clean it won't be a problem, so congrats.

Gonefishing... Thanks for the info on that. I'll keep it as clean as possible. Maybe I shouldn't let my kids play on the computer anymore!
