I have a small Xenia in my nano and I have noticed something eating the smaller solitary colonies around the base of the main "stalk". Here's the tank specs and suspect lineup.
15g nano, 0 nitrates/other, 80w PC lights, 10 lbs lr, a few zoanthids and small shrooms.

the suspects are (ie, all thats in the tank)
1 inch occellaris
1 inch scott's damsel
1.5 inch purple basslet
sub-1 inch yellow watchman goby
one emerald crab (suspect #1)
a couple small blueleg hermit crabs and one halloween crab (acorn size or smaller)
a handful of small brittle stars
two turbo snails, one astrea, and two cerinth
one strombus conch (that stays on the bottom, well away from the Xenia at the top)

So what's munching on my Xenia? Or is it possible that the Xenia is relocating itself?

Could just be th xenia relocating and spreading. My xenia started under VHO, an dit would survive, but was slow to spread. Now it's under MH, and I have to remove xenia monthly to prevent it from taking over. I put small rocks all around the main clumps and then pull out the smaller rocks once they are colonized. When xenia is happy, it's a weed.

Lol, I did find one of the little buggers on the floor of the tank today, reattached to a pebble. Go figgur....
