I'm planning on painting some cement rocks and placing them in my aquarium (after the cement has "cured" for 6 weeks in water). Do not know where to buy the paints and what I should be asking for. Also, was wondering if anyone knows the range of colors available in aquarium-safe epoxy paint.

I have used two brands myself and have had good results with both. Interline 850 comes in grey and sky blue, and is NSF certified food/water safe. West System Epoxy is not NSF approved, but is clear, and I've heard of several people using it long-term in aquaiums.

BUT I'VE FOUND SOME NEW ITEMS! I just found out yesterday a new website which has a product specifically produced for DIY aquariums. It is NSF certified for food/water use, and comes in many different colors and shades! It is located here: http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/11733/cid/3035,
but I have NO EXPERIENCE WITH THIS STUFF! I do believe I'll give this stuff a try in the future though!

Good luck and God bless with it!

Hello Mark,
I see you posted the epoxy paint by Sweetwater here too. This is the epoxy that I have researched in the past. Many people from other boards have used this epoxy paint with much success for their DIY plywood tanks.

Thanks again!
