I have an empty 5 gallon void to fill. It used to be for one betta. I was wondering if there are any other fish options. One site suggested gouramis in a 5 gallon, another said 20g at least. I was thinking a dwarf gourami or croaking dwarf gourami, but is that too small?

maybe a betta and a frog, though I can't find african dwarf frogs around here. Anyway...any suggestions?? I don't want to do aything inappropriate by sitcking a poor fish in a 5 gallon prison.

thanks!!

A single dwarf gourami would work, a few male guppies, or else just a small group of khulie loaches. Now that last one would be quite interesting.

that kuhlii loach thing needs a 55 gallon tank at least- I have a 5 gallon.

either aquariumfish.com, aquariacantral.com. or liveaquaria.com. Sorry I can't remember which, thouh I know none of them said anything close to 5 gallon. It said they get to 4-5 inches.

I highly recommend my Avatar fish, Heterandria Formosa . One of the smallest livebearers and live in southern US. The males are about 1/4 of an inch and the females can reach up to an inch. There are a few sites out there were you can order them. I have had up to 25 in a 5 gallon tank. When I mean tiny these guys are small, about the size of guppy fry.

has anyone ever had bumble bee gobies in a small situation? That tiny tiny fish seems neat too. are they interesting to watch?

bumbel bee gobies are brackish water. they will live in FW if properly acclimated over time. most LFS dont acclimate them right so chances are they wont survive long. my opion on them.

The honey gourami would probably go in the 5 but only a couple of them...
