I have the chance to buy a 3.5 lb CO2 tank for roughly $35. Is this a good deal in your opinion? It seemed like it to me, but if you have any suggestions as to where I may obtain one at a cheaper price, please do tell!
Thanks for your input!

I've never had to buy a tank (get em free)
but on this site it has 5lb'ers for 75$

not sure if thats the norm or not, at any rate, I would think 35$ is a fair price.

I just bought a 5lb fire extinguisher for 15.00 on e-bay...had Keen Gas switch the valve on the top from a fire extinguisher trigger to a CGA-320 Valve for 20.00.
Seems that 35 is on par... (good deal)...Provided that the Hydrotest date is within the last 2 years (otherwise, it will need to be hydrotested for between $10-15.00).

That seems a tad high. $35 for a 3.5 lb CO2 tank. I don't remember exactly how much I paid for my 10 lb one, but it was about 4-5 years ago when I was in college and I'm sure I wouldn't have spent much(ie, poor college student at the time). I bought it at a beverage supply facility and seem to remember paying $40-50 maybe and that was including the tank fill-up.

Assuming cost of living in Connecticut, 5 years difference in your prices for a 10 pounder, and my overly obsessive desire to research and ensure the best deal for myself, I stick with my opinion that 35.00 is an ok price...
