What kind of fish is this?

I just got him. The guy at the store told me he was a Tinfoil Barb, but I have seen tinfoil barbs, and never one that looked like this.
His eyes are big and black, not like a normal Tinfoil Barb.
Let me know what you think.

Could be wrong!!

Just looked at the larger version of the linked photo and now I am not sure of the ID. I just saw one that looked exactly like the photo you posted at the LFS yesterday and it was labeled as a Blushing ******. I just wish I could remember the ****** part :confused: .... I will keep trying to remember.... and as I expect it will drive me nuts that i can't, :( I will likely call in the AM and try to get an ID for you! Assuming, someone else doesn't ID it before me. ;)

I saw the picture of the albino blushing tiger.
I don't know. it looks a lot more like a tinfoil barb that got into a bare knuckle boxing match and ended up with two black eyes.
you might be right though.
 
It looks more like something from the Tetra family to me!

But it is very unique looking, maybe a Cross-breed/hybrid?

does this fish have an adipose fin - if it has then it's probably a characin which includes the tetra's. Can't see whether he's got an adipose or not from pic. Might narrow down the possibilities a bit.
 
If it wasn't for the black eyes and the blushing gills I'd say tin foil barb too. Maybe it's a hybrid between a tin & ????. Still a very nice looking fish though.
