I've seen one of these eels a my LFS and it is pretty impressive. The LFS wanted 800 for it. It is a cool eel but i dont think its worth the money unless you really are into eels.

P.S. It is pretty impressive to watch it eat.

FWIW, dragon eels are hardy, beautiful, and they stay a manageable size. Plus, as they come from Hawaii, they are collected under very strict laws that allow only fish-friendly collection techniques. See pics here:

...although, in all fairness, $900 is high.

If u do catch one don't let any one know because they are vary strict. :look: they only allow a few a year to be put on the market that being the reason for the price. high demand for them and only a few to go a round.
