I've noticed over the past while one of my neons has become fatter, but she looks somehow lumpy and I'm wondering if anyone has ideas. I'm fairly certain this is a female, so maybe she's filled with eggs, but I'm concerned it may be something unhealthy.
If I look at the fish from the side, sometimes she looks very round. Other times (and I can actually watch the transition take place, it's creepy) there are two distinct swellings, so she gets a 'w' shape to her stomach. From the side she looks full, not huge, and the swelling is even on both sides.
She's bright, and eating well, but seems to have a little trouble keeping her tail up as she swims.
All my tank info is on my specs page (the link is in my signature) - briefly, NH3/4 0, NO2 0, NO3 ~10, live plants, pH 6.6, temperature 80F. Tank is a 65g.
Any ideas?
