I noticed my male Blue (Three-Spot) Gourami's color was much darker blue last night (almost a reverse of his normal color -- dark blue body with lighter blue spots) when I turned on the tank light. The two female blue gouramis in the tank were normal color, and in the morning, the male had returned to his normal color as well. Just curious as to what could've caused this to occur.
Was he stressed because I turned on the lights at night for a short period? Is this some indication of breeding activity?
I tried to do a google search, but you can imagine the number of false-positive search results you get from "blue gourami darker color."
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
