Powerhead with Venturi for CO2

Hi Folks,

Can a Maxi Jet 600 Power Head be used to deliver CO2 using the Venturi accessory that it comes with. From what I understand, a CO2 tube can be connected to the this accesory and have it mixed with water.

Has anyone any experience with this? Any drawbacks?

I posted once asking if I could use the venturi on my canister, and I'm glad I did - the pull from the venturi can actually collapse bottles and draw the yeast solution into the tank, which makes an awful mess, not to mention possibly killing the fish. I don't recommend it.
