Currently have an established 20L setup (running for close to a year) with two Clown loaches which are about 1.5" and one female Electric Yellow cichlid who is about 2". Need some suggestions on tank mates. I was thinking of putting a male Electric in there since I've heard they can live in pairs.

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Marcus :)

I have a suggestion, though you won't like it.

Firstly, clown loaches can grow to be over a foot long. They require very large tanks (75g+) and they also are best kept in schools.

If you've had those clown loaches for a year in that tank, chances are they are already suffering the effects of stunting.

You will need to trade them in or get a *much* larger tank.

I'm aware of this, thank you. Loaches also grow at a painfully slow rate. I plan on keeping these loaches and will be upgrading to a larger tank in the future, the cichlid will stay in the 20L though. If those plans change, I'll get rid of them. ;)

Suggestions on tank mates?

Tiger barbs are great with the clown loaches as they think they are the same species, they get on great.
