Size of Yellow and Blue Tang?

Hi everyone,
I have recently gotten a fish book for christmas and I have found that it is a bit dodgy. It says that the blue tang grows to only 15cm in captivity where as it grows to 31cm in the ocean. And the yellow tank grows to 7.5cm in captivity and 20cm in the ocean. Is the true????? Please Help, how big are your yellow/blue tangs????

I find both www.aquariacentral.com/species and http://www.liveaquaria.com/ to be reasonably accurate guides. The AC list is somewhat outdated, so I tend to rely more on liveaquaria if there is any disagreement bewteen the two.

I use fishbase. It's an actual scientific compilation, and is updated constantly.
Zebrasoma flavescens: 20 cm
Acanthurus hepatus: 31 cm
I would doubt any site that gives a value for max size in aquaria. As far as I know, the data haven't been gathered.

i have a hippo tang that is 12 inches long.

Thanks for your help everyone, I have decided not to have any of those two anymore, but I am now considering a powder blue tang instead.
