will tannins have a bad effect on plants?
i'm planning to add some dried indian almond leaves into my anubias / cpry tank..
will it have bad effect on my anubias?

It does however, take more leaves than you think to make a real impact. how large is the tank?

I have about 5 large leaves in my 15g planted and it doesn't hamper the growth of that tank at all. In fact I'd say the beneficial effects of the indian almond leaves causes the plants to grow as much and as healthy as they do.

More likely driftwood is going to release more tannins than a couple indian almond leaves.

thanks..
my tank is 75 gallons:)

Then get out there and pick up some indian almond leaves! Ship me a garbage bag full while you're at it =)

You would be able to use about 20 leaves without any problems, they're pretty big too.
