Green algea on sand

I got this green algea on my sand. its not hairy, it comes in clumps, i took some out, and it came in clumps that were pretty close together. the algae on my rocks are gone, this is like 2 weeks ago pic. You can see my tank below i have the algae on my sand in those pics.

what kind of water are you using? RO or tap?

I don't know as much about saltwater, but if that were a freshwater tank I would say it's blue-green algae...Can someone tell me if it even grows in saltwater? It's a serious pain in the neck to get rid of. It's kind of slimy, comes off in sheets.

purified water

Make sure you are either using purified or distilled water for water changes. I made the same mistake like a day later most of the algae started to disapear or you might want to get a tang or an angel to eat some of the algea but i recommend using distilled water method.
