I think this is the snowiest winter I ever remember having. I don't really remember it being this cold either!! Yesterday it was 16*F with a windchill of somewhere below zero. We only got a dusting of snow, but we only got the tail end of what some of you in northeast USA got...So how much snow was there really over there?

;)

Don't forget about us in the Midwest! Where I live, the official snowfall from this storm is 9.3 inches. :(

Unpleasant for sure, but nothing compared to the 30" of snow parts of southeastern mass got

They had predicted 24" for us, but it seems to be closer to one foot. Its really hard to measure because its sooooo windy that there are huge drifts. Some places, the snow is 3 feet deep. In others, the bare ground is exposed. They were evacuating a lot of the areas along the coast in the southern mass seacoast - they learned the lesson from last year with the flooding. They were showing footage of some chilly ocean water running through houses and streets.

Id love for it to snow like that here :D

We get snow about once every 5 years...

True, but New England is used to it way more than we are. Granted, we get snow every year, but rarely do we get more than 5-6 inches at a time. I heard Detroit got 12 inches!

They aren't used to that much snow. (Where I am, it doesn't snow as much as some of you probably think.) Boston is MIA for the next two full days. School is already canceled till tuesday and the mayor asked businesses to be closed tomorrow.

Twelve inches is a fair amount but Southern New Englanders only start to worry when they mention 2 - 3 feet. They were predicting that amount for us but I think we only got a foot. It is hard to tell with the snow drifts. Like Leopardess said, Mass. got hit the hardest. The wind is what makes it bad.

Even though it does snow a few times a year here, I'd like to have snow like that here, too.

I wouldn't have to GO anywhere!!!!

Took those today in the morning.
Amazing pics! It's cool to see how one side of the car's had 4-6" of snow on it, while the other side of the car's had none.
