African Dwarf Frogs - feeding?

You could just get a few plastic or silk plants, this would be easy and more cost effective. I have gotten them to eat flake food. Although I'm not positive how much they will eat over a long period, I doubt it would take too much freezer space for a few months suply.

For one pack(the mid size one, i think, it has 2 sheets and may be 14 oz.) of hikari frozen bloodworms, it will last months,especially for just one frog. It costs me 14.99 and its very thin and easily stored.

I strongly suggest using Hikaris frozen bloodworms as the staple of the diet.

I have had my frogs for under a week, so I am still in the learning stages. I learned that you need to feed the worms to the frog with a baster and distract the betta with other food or something or else the frog won't eat. My betta practically sucks the worms from the baster before the frog gets them, hence the necessary distracting. I even tried to remove the betta from the tank, but I think he is on to me because as soon as he saw me hovering over the tank with container, he hid under the roots of a plant- which he has never done before. I tried on 2 different occasions to remove him, and both times he knew something was up and went for the roots. anyway I ramble...

bloodworms mentioned above are what i'd recommend. I shave/cut a bit off the cube, wrap unused in plastic, and return it to the freezer. 1/4 cube for 4 frogs fed every other day at this point. You'll have it forever!!

I suggest staying away from the cubed worms if possible, and using the flats instead. Also, tweezers work best, IME.
