What do I need?

I have a 75 gal. tank and the temp usually stays between 68 and 72 degrees F. Right now I just have some comets in there. They have been my practice run with fish. Do they need heat? I know I need more light since I plan on putting some plants in the tank. Where can I find a decent yet inexpensive lighting hood?
I am planning on setting up my 10 gal. tank. I have the filter and hood already but I don't know if I will need heat for it. I am planning on putting a Beta in with maybe some Cories and Platies. We are still working on that.

nope, Comets don't need heat.

Do some research on plants that are comptable with goldfish, or else your goldfish will eat the plants

Yes, the 10 gallon will require a heater as all of those fish are tropical.

Do you have filters for both of these tanks?

No, I don't have any heaters. I was told that if I want to keep plants I will need heat. I will need the temp in both tanks to be between 72 and 78. I guess I have some shopping to do. Or, my birthday is comming! :)
