looking for a snail eater and i found this little beauty on liveaquaria.com - i don't know much about it though cause i've never heard of it before- they say it eats snails and it's very attractive looking - it looks like a RTS - check it out http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2102

looking for more info if anyone is familiar  - is it peaceful? good community fish?

From what I understand they are okay as a community fish, though they do carry the typical Botia tendancy to like to irritate other fish at times. My local LFS has had the same pair for nearly a year, so I wonder if there is a good reason they havent sold?

Try to find some Zebras, Darios, or Yo-Yos. They stay quite a bit smaller and should take care of your snail problem. Get 3-4 as they can be a bit nippy, but shouldn't bother your other fish if kept in a group.
