Great looking fish. I really like your pair of Pacus. I'd take them off your hands if you weren't 2000 miles away.

Good picture taking too. It can be real hard to get nice pics sometimes.

Could you please tell me what you water parameters are when breeding the blue acaras? What you do once they lay their eggs.

I dont know about tightdogs tanks, but my perimeters for my breeding acaras are:

amonia:0
Nitrites:0
Nitrates: low (moderatly planted)

pH: 6.4
KH: 5
GH: dont know

tightdog, do you have any pics of your female acara when it was about 3 inches?

my female doesnt have the red color your does. It is a brown color with dark bars and a mask (completely black face when breeding). The fins are nice and blue and have a nice orange fringe. Do you think she will get more color as she gets older?

nice pics.

Sorry i haven't been on AC for a few days since it was the weekend.

80GJOE:
First off i use HP photosmart 120 digital camera. normally i use it on the best resolution possible and also on 2x digi zoom. it is not a very good camera partly because i have to place the camera on a steady object and thenn take a pic so theat the pics are not blurry. also i had to take about 200 pictures of all my fish so that i could find pics that are up to my standards, i dont half-a$$ anything especially with my fish.

RARE CICHLIDS:
ID be happy to give em to ya but transporting 7" pacus is very hard and costly thats y im not gonna ship them.

PIERRE_JOHN:
My water parameters are about
ammonia: 2
Nitrites: 4
Nitrates: about 40
PH: 6.8
KH: 7
GH: 10

i breed my acaras in the same tank my pacus are in so the water is not very good wbut they breed a lot. every time a brod is gone they breed again in like 2 days. the water is not the greatest quality because of the pacus are so big for the tank and i need to get rid of them, it really depends on how much ive been feeding the pacus.

MR. JINGLES:

I'd have to look at home to se if i have any pics of the female about that size, i will check and get back to ya.
