First thing i've been handed a single danio who is now living in my livebearer tank (20g) along with 3 swords, 2 platies and 1 female guppy.

i've noticed in last couple days that the danio is chasing all the other fish. I am inteading to get a couple friends for him, will this then stop? be reduced? or will i have 3 danios chasing my other fish?
should i take him to LFS?

second thing, i only have one male in livebear tank a swordtail. can he mate with the platies, because he is trying??

cheers Shekoi

well i know for a fact that danio's enjoy chasing eachother around
if you were to buy him some friends i'd say they'd only chase among themselves, only one way to truley find out i guess

I have kept Danios with my Livebearers for some time now.. they are an enjoyment to see and yes, they still will chase your LBs. Its kinda like putting a puppy with a bunch of cats and then adding a new puppy. Yes at first he will chase and try to play with the Cats but after adding the second puppy, he will play with it for awhile but still will chase the cats if it can.

Danio's will chase anything and everything. My school will even harass my balas from time to time.

ABout the platy and swordtail... Yes they can breed that is how the hybrid variations come about.

Alot of livebearers are will try to breed with eachother, and Swords and Platies do.
