Just curious to see if anyone here is an artist, and what kind of art you do. I'd like to see posted pictures or links to look at your work. I do all kinds of crafts, sewing, etc. My true love is fine art. I like all kinds of different styles and media. Right now I'm working on an acrylic of a mermaid and a coral reef. I only have thumbnail sketches to post now. I also blackline a comic, which you can see at www.majorvictory.com

I write a lot. Poetry used to be a fun thing. Now I mostly work in fantasy and roleplaying game material.
 
I do a bit of drawing in pastels, charcoal and pencil. Primarily, I do digital art such as for advertising, animation and web design.

i paint also, and make jewelry, crafts, recently started sewing, basically anything that looks interesting i will try, and i have all of the supplies to prove it :)
 
People refer to me as an artist, I prefer to be called a 'painter'. I work in oils, have sold through local galleries, recently had a show of a new ' series ' I'm doing. He's fun, called Red Dog, he lives in a world I can use total imagination with and am enjoying that. I've been painting all my life...I remember being very young pretending I was van Gogh. Quote......" Never lose your love of nature, you will never lose your love of art"....Vincent van Gogh".

Depending on how far you push art… My best art form is food; I had been cooking for 6 years and went to the CIA and FBI for training. I do not cook in the restaurants any more because I need something new and fun. I need to move out of Roanoke to a better place to cook again.

The other art I do is putting down hare wood floors, well ok I don’t put them down any more I make my workers put it down and I sit in an office most of the day.

I'm not an artist, I'm just a dabbler....

But pinballqueen had some fantastic art work. I haven't seen her around in a long time.

EDIT... but as far as my 'dabbling'... and what form... I paint on rocks and also do tufa - Norman, in my avatar (currently buried in snow outside), is one of my tufa sculptures. My rock painting can be seen at http://members.shaw.ca/pcarriere/rockpets.html
