iam getting a long 100g tank very soon and wanted to know if this is too many fish, they are not fully grown yet
cichlids
3 convicts 1 male 2 female
1 blackbelt
1 rainbow
1 jewel
2 jacks

There will be a lot of aggression in that setup. :evil_lol:

that would be pretty overcrowded.

Not really overcrowded, but moreso bottom heavy. Your cichlids are going to try to claim territory.
1) go with 1 convict instead of a trio
or
2) go with a pair of 2 different cichlids of your choice.
3) rainbows should be 3 or more

Assuming good filtration and water changes, it isn't overcrowded, although in terms of aggression you could have issues, especially towards the Herotilapia, which isn't up to par with the Dempseys or black belt.
