Info wanted on: Opsaridium microlepis

i thought they get to be up to two feet long and are endangered or something. Arent they from Africa?

The "Mpasa" - Opsaridium microlepis - is a predatory cyprinid minnow that attains a length of at least 50 cm (20 inches) [62-cm specimens have been documented]. Adults are piscivorous, while juveniles feed on chironomids, ostracods, aquatic Coleoptera, and terrestrial insects.

It is indeed 'threatened' and has declined across much of its former range [it hails from Lake Malawi], but is not not the IUCN red list.
