Has anyone noticed Barbels on their danios mounths?? I see these two whiskers that hang down - but they only seem to come out when they are scouring the bottom for algae wafers bits. The first time I saw it - I thought they were ill or had worms...but after watching for what seems like hours over the last weeks, I've seen it a couple times - but only while they bottom feed. They are kinda like fu-manchu whiskers! Has anyone else ever noticed this? Or do I have mutants!
:troll:

Danios are cyprinids - many of which have barbels:) They are very tiny, but are actually a bit longer than you might think when adult and fully presented.
