One of my Tiger Barbs is particularly vicious. It's always taking big chunks out of the tail fins of the other Tiger Barbs. They others usually die within a few days thanks to the aggressive one.

Is there any way to cub that behavior?

How many tiger barbs do you have, and what size is the tank? If you have the room, add some more. That should solve the problem.

Yes, tiger barbs do well in schools of at least six because they like to chase each other around, if you have too few tiger barbs, then they will chase your other fish instead.

mobiusnu, i had the same problem. started off with a school of 11 tiger barbs. the largest became overly agressive and would bite the smallest ones, even when they were trying to eat. eventually he killed a number of them, and i wound up just taking them back to the LFS. some tiger barbs are just jerks.
