i have 4 freshwater tanks and i have an extra 20 gallon tall and i was thinking about turning it into a saltwater tank. What all would i need and how much money would this cost? What kinds of cheaper fish could i get? i was thinking damsels.

yeah you could get a damsel or 2 in there or you could do some nano fish like firefish, jawfish and smaller gobies, keep in mind you shouldnt have more than 2 fish in there. You'd need a filter,substrate,decore/LR,salt,lighting,fish and test kits. Thats the basics but there is more I am just laying down the basics. When I started my 30g its cost me about 250$ without the tank(i already had it)

Heres LiveAquaria.com's "Nano Fish" page. Give ya a look at what there is out there for small ones. (LiveAquaria's pic's are a little misleading sometime's if you see something you like do a picture search on google before you get to excited)

You could easily do a pair of small to midsized clowns (percula, ocellaris for example). Cardinals would also be good, as well as a lot of gobies. In my opinion, the limit would be 3-4 fish, and you will want to choose carefully to avoid conflicts. As fishman said, the tank and fish will be relatively cheap compared to the rest of the setup.
