A friend of mine is in a fish club. They are having an auction the first Saturday in April. They have lots of fish and used equipment. Anyone interested in details let me know. You don't have to be a club member to buy or sell.

I can provide some details now, and am getting more from my friend:

The sale will be Saturday April 2, 2005. The actual location is Limestone High school in Bartonville Illinois, which is a little 'burb just south of Peoria. The actual address so you can get directions off mapquest is 4201 South Airport Road, Bartonville Illinois 61607. It will be in the cafeteria on the south side of the building. They have these twice a year, and have had to change to this location from where they have had it for years, so their attendance is down, and equipment has been going cheap. They open around 8 to take in stuff to sell, and I will have to get back to you on when the auction actually starts, and usually goes until afternoon..2ish or later depending on the amount of stuff. There are breeders that bring stock to sell. I got a nice bristlenose pleco there once...couldn't find one in any of the local LFS.
I'll post more info as I get it.

I did get some more info on the fish club auction today..from a flyer they are posting:

Nursie,

Is there anyway you could email me that flyer or the details contained in that flyer?? I live near Ottawa, Il and am only about 45 mins. from Peoria. I would love to attend the auction mainly for purchase reasons right now, but also to get some info for later auctions and possibly sell some stuff..... Ill try to check back... Thanks :)

Bowserfins...I pm'd you, check for messages.
If you are interested in selling, just a fyi...i took some equipment a year ago and was dissappointed in what I made. It was a buyers market. That may be better now. they used to have their auctions at a hotel in East Peoria on the spring, and had to move becasue they tore down the hotel and anywhere else was too expensive. They have not had the attendance #'s since they moved.
