help, i just bought a golden wrasse on sunday night, and now its thursday.
ive seen the wrasse for for 2 mins when i put him in. and twice the next day. i know they live in the sand, but this is redunkulous! i think hes okay. i even tested the water levels, and its nearly perfect. i ran a chopstick hrough the sand. nothing came out! how else to get this guy out? he was very lively at the lfs.

Trying to force the fish to behave in an unnatural way--ie, not giving it sand to hide in--is not a good idea, and will stress the fish. Give the fish a few more days to get used to the tank--2 weeks is more realistic--and in the mean time, don't freak about it.
 
solved

so he finally is normal now, i just dont turn on the lights when i go to work, and instead, i open the blinds, so when i come home, i turn on the lights, he stays out later instead of digging back in the sand.
