Blue Kenyi cichlid, lips turned red.

Who are his tankmates? How big's the tank? Have ya tested water for standard issues (pH, ammonia, nitrates, etc)?

But do you know what species? I take it since its a blue kenyi its a female, and will most likely be less aggressive and possibly can be beat up easily. It really depends on what othe fish you have in there. How red are its lips? Like bright red or dull red? She could be lip-locking with another female (the way they fight) thus injured her lips. Are her fins ragged and any other body damage?
