ok i got my tank today.....

I have 3 filters--> 1-fluval 203 / 1-fluval 303 / 1-fluval 403

Is the 303 & 403 enough for this tank?

im putting sand in.. Not sure what type of fish yet..But they will be meat eaters...

How many power heads should I have in the tank?

I have a Powerhead 802 currently.....

Can there be to much circulation?

WHat do you guys recommend?

It all depedns on what your gong for. Too much circulation isn't good for plants that are tall and like to be near the top of the water. I would really recommend finding a specific habit to try and recreate. For example, there is east asia river, african lakes, south american streams, etc. After you find an area, get plants and fish that live in that area. If you recreate a lake, obviously there won't be much current needed. But you always need some current.

For most tanks powerheads are optional. But one or two wouldn't hurt for a large tank. If you want live plants, then be very careful with the current you have.

First pick your fish or an area to recreate, then the plants, then lighting, then water movement.

And yes there can be too much circulation. Defiantely don't use any more than three powerheads. Probably two would be fine.

What happens with too much circulation...if you don't mind me asking?

It'll just tear stuff up and upset the fish since they will have to swim harder then they like.

i see... SHould I use all three filters??
