Is this a Seachem kit? "Total ammonia" is what other kits simply call "ammonia." Just use that one. Is this a brandy new tank?

But my NO3 test is kinda high... what should i do?

1month old tank....
seems pretty fine.. i got a 6line wassre and lots of rocks.. and a branded shrimp.. just to see if they die :P

I m planning to get an octupus, and seahorses.. possible? just 1 or each or something.... and maybe a small rockfish.. thats all.. is it fine..?

Your tank is not cycled yet if you're registering ANY ammonia. Remove the 6-line wrasse and start from scratch. Look in the marine archives under "Fishwhisperer's fishless cycling method" and follow the instructions. With ammonia this high, you will kill most anything that you add to the tank.

How big is the system? Your fish choices would gladly all eat each other. Octopi need to be in a species tank with flawless water quality and should NOT be in a new tank. Any ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate and you can expect it to die. Seahorses require hand-feeding and daily attention and can't compete with other fish for food. Rockfish will eat anything that can fit in their mouths.

The octopus would make a nice snack of just about everything else in the tank. Not a good plan.

Get a book on fish species, with a table for compatibility. Not always accurate, but a good place to start.
